I have Asperger's. Why one earth would someone make fun of it? It's one of the more unpleasant things one can have..

Not trying to one up you, but try having grand mal epilepsy. I have scared the bejeezus out of many co-workers over the years.

BTW, my cousin's son has autism and I certainly have empathy for you.

It's not funny. Watching how people used to react to people with 'ticking' illnesses,etc. I'm still amazed at how insensitive people can be.

No way! There are plenty worse things. My son is an Aspie. He has gifts and he has some difficulties. But I wouldn't trade him for anything. On the brain disorders side (to leave out cancer and all the other debilitating things), schizophrenia and bipolar are WAYYY worse.
