Lower the young urban professionals upward mobility expectations

Eh, remember the "Crisis of Rising Expectations."

Revolutions aren't caused by populations beaten down in poverty for a long time, or even a long, slow decline in conditions.

Revolutions are caused by things getting better for a while and then simply not getting better for even a short time, or just getting slightly worse.

Once people's expectations are raised they're really, really, really, really POed when they collapse.

That's what I was getting at, from the outisde looking in the great majority of Chinese are still outside the economic bubble. Can commercial media alone raise expectations to the point of revolution?

If China suffers an economic recession or slowdown, if the Chinese labor market is still the cheapest in the world, those newer but empty factories will be reopened. Chinese leaders and average Joes will all believe so, and they will be correct.
