Already there is unrest among the 700 million in China's rural area plus the estimated 100 million to 200 million "floating population" of unemployed. That's the real reason for the recent Chi-com promise of "human" rights, they fear the unrest. Sorry, it wasn't "free" trade that did it.
IPOs for banks whose policies are so troubling that the government forces them to suspend lending are not likely to be a wildly successful. The system is crumbling.
Go for it "free" traders! Here's another chance to join the Chi-coms "short march to capitalism!" -- it's just inches away. Be the first to own a piece of the banks. Not to worry. If it all comes crumbling down you'll be crying to OPIC and other agencies to cover your losses. Government interference ain't bad when it pays you, huh?
