Add Linda Vester to the Hume group, I liked her when she was with MSNBC, classy lady there.

You may be generally correct but I have watched Brit for many years and he was a conservative voice even when he worked for ABC. He is the real deal.

Guess we know who will be the headliner at the Super Bowl half-time show next year. :-)
Ewww. Could you imagine Koppel hopping out to some rap song in a pair of chaps with matching chinese stars on his nipples? What a nightmare. Ewww.

When they said the phrase "a corrective"...we can expect it take Koppel down five or six steps. I have seen this done in educational facilities, companies, and in the military. My guess is that ABC will start to look for a new nightline "coach" by the end of May. The difference now and the mid-1990s when the liberal left media had their cake-walk...is Fox and radio. These two mechanisms have overtaken the power of CNN, ABC, and the rest of the slanted media. Koppel is probably standing there and thinking he will ride out this storm and help in the process of taking down GW. He forgets that commerical advertisers have to pay for your programming, and they hate heat.

I work nights but I'll have to get up for this.
What time does it start?

Ted Koppel
When polls showed a vast majority of Americans believing that news reporting from Iraq was too negative, Koppel blamed the White House - demanding that Bush "level with the American people about what is going wrong, and then they and we will have a much easier time believing the good news when it occurs.
"When the administration starts dealing forthrightly with those issues," he said, "the good news will speak for itself."
A recent "Nightline" profile of a U.S. soldier taken hostage in Iraq concluded: "Tonight, his family must be wishing the president had left the job of liberating Iraq to someone else."
War on Terror is too costly. "If the motivation to go to war is . . . justifiable," the aging anchor has said, "then the cost, whether it is 500 or 5,000 or 50,000 [lives] is something people will accept. Should the motivation not be good, then five is too many."
Koppel scolded President Bush for allowing a few fleeting images from Ground Zero to be used in one of his campaign ads - then ran a clip from the commercial in which the president is seen saying, "I'm George W. Bush, and I approved this message."

All Koppel did on Friday night was put faces to the statistics. I think of it as a smaller version of the New York Times series "Portraits of Grief," featuring each murdered victim from 9/11. It ran for months. Every day.
I like Chris Wallace, and look forward to what he has to say this weekend.

Thank You
I'm gonna have to catch the early one 'cause the other one would interfear with the NASCAR race...
