As with so many scandals, the coverup is worse than the actual infraction. She could have come clean with her fiance, she owed him that much. If the relationship ended than it was not to be; better to find out now than live with an incompatable spouse. But instead she gave in to fear and decided to live a lie. Because she did she now must live her whole life in fear she will be found out. What a lousy thing to do to a man.

There are two things in a marriage that you never, ever lie about. Money and sex. Borrowing from a joint savings and not saying something, or lying a bout the cost of your new driver. Big no-no.
As far as sex goes, cheating is the worse one could do. But even if your not cheating, lying about or seriously marginalizing past sexual encounters is bad business.
The truth eventually comes out, and, talk about a trust problem, the liar end up a thief and a slut, no matter how long ago things happened.
