In the late 90's members of the Likud trooped through NYC asking again again why are there only 15 million jews. they listened to the buzz from liberal jewish establishment there. In January National Union Party in in Israel set up a Christian Caucus in the Knesset.

(Alas this slander has been going on since the McCarthy era--but that's another story.)
The result has been a dam break.
