'Partridge Family' Film Planned

Another classic '70s TV show could be coming to movie screens in the near future.
Following the successful big screen updates of "Starsky & Hutch" and "Charlie's Angels," Paramount Pictures has bought the feature film rights to the hit series "The Partridge Family," The Hollywood Reporter says.
Producer Billy Gerber told The Hollywood Reporter he plans to make a "mainstream family movie in the vein of 'School of Rock.'"
"The Partridge Family" series followed the comical experiences of a family of musicians.
Paramount is also developing a big-screen adaptation of the popular show "21 Jump Street," which starred Johnny Depp.

Hollywood has no original ideas anymore. Everything's either a sequel or a remake of a TV show or old movie.
