Okay, casting time:

For Shirley Partridge, we need a a 40-something woman who can sing. I'll go with PAIGE O'HARA, who did the voice of "Belle" in "Beauty and the Beast." An interesting alternative would be RENEE ZELLWEGER. She's a little young, but has proven she can play just about any role. And she can sing.

Laurie goes to ANNA HATHAWAY. Right age. Sings well. Good actress.

Keith goes to ASHTON KUTCHER. I have no idea if he can sign, but he really does look the part.

Tracy goes to DAKOTA FANNING, because all big parts requiring a preteen go to Dakota Fanning. It's the law in Hollywood.

Danny goes to SPENCER BRESLIN, because...he was the only young actor I could think of. Okay, I punted on this one. Rupert Grint (of the Harry Potter movies) would be perfect if he wasn't already too old.

As for Ruben Kincaid, BILL MURRAY just needs to show up and clown around and keep the movie from taking itself too seriously.
