A reality that we need MidEast oil and want to make it more secure for us. ===
So you say it is all for oil? (Those Iraiqs which say so all the time was right then).
150 bln dollars for war in order to secure oil? Just calculate how many oil one can buy even with double price for $150 bln dollars.
FYI year supply of oil for US in current price costs around 25 bln dollars. So United States already wasted money equal 6 year oil supply.
Is it shrewd?

Hmmmm. I guess some people would consider what our dear French, German and Russian friends did. Make demands of Saddam through U.N. mandates, ignore the fact that he laughs those mandates off, then try and stall the U.S. from taking action while you skim as much of you can off the oil for food money through illegal sales to Saddam.

It's about changing the Middle East.
The status quo is a failure.
We may well fail.
If we do, more than America will share in the pain.
