I heard that Kerry was crying...he heard the news of the job increase, tripped, fell, and had no purple heart bandaid for his boo boo!

I thought the tax cuts were a superficial stimulant which would only affect a temporary jobless recovery.

I'm still unemployed by the payroll survey. My significant self-employment income is only counted in the household numbers. Right now I wouldn't have it any other way - I can't make this much money in salary today. And I'm deeply saddened.

Heck, a lot of people on this website are deeply saddened. Don't you realize what this news means for the Constitution Party?

Bush is on track to be the first president since the Great Depression to have lost jobs under his watch.

Is this really true ?

If so what are the extenuating circumstances if any ?

Let's see now...what's left for the "Dimms" to complain about???

Hmmmmmm????

How about the weather! Somewhere in the great country it's just got to be cloudy and rainy and cold!

And of course, we all know that "IT'S BUSH'S FAULT"!

See? Told ya they could find a cause!

...job gains are occurring in the lower-paying service sector at retailers and restaurants, and in temporary employment firms.

How many of these 288,000 "jobs" are full time with benefits? That's what I want to know.

The economy added another 288,000 jobs in April, with the unemployment rate now at 5.6% (the rate at Clinton's reelection). That's a gain of 1,088,000 jobs since July 2003. Let's look at the numbers.
