The abuse was horrible and those guilty should pay, but the Pres. should not have apologized. We HAVE to start thinking like the enemy...in the Arab world, apologies and compromise are signs of weakness. When will our leaders learn that to win a war, you must learn to think like the enemy. This is war...period, end. That is what the Pres. should have said.

But the war had ended for those prisoners.

Me thinks this troll was reading the "Fudge Report" not the "Drudge Report".

"When will our leaders learn that to win a war, you must learn to think like the enemy. "

We are on our way to emulating the enemy.

Your comment was hysterical.

I think the people so opposed to any apology are in the throes of "Nuke the Whales!" syndrome. Liberals have made apologies (and in the case of, say, Clinton, the less sincere the better, not to mention the further from anything the apologizer might have done - pubbies face a different standard) the be-all and end-all -- a substitute for action or real analysis or anything else. It's enough to make me gag.

The key to the dart guns is to make sure you buy the second pack of darts; then you don't have to keep getting up and going to the TV to reload. :-)

Rummy: "The abuse should not have happened. We're taking steps to find out why and make sure it doesn't happen again. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a war to fight...and someone change Byrd's diaper. Stinks like a #$%^'n Cambodian outhouse in here."

I heard Brian Lamb say this morning that C-SPAN will replay everything starting at 8PM this evening. They are replaying a segment with a Bloomberg Pentagon Correspondent from this morning now. Pretty good.

As clinton made his apologizing tour of the world, did anyone ever hear him apologize for lying to US?

I thought the President was stronger than this.

Read the transcript. His only mistake was opening the door a crack. The press who want us to apologize for being the United States, seized their opportunity. President Bush is not weak, weak is asking the criminal justice system, to fight our enemies.

I just realized that today is the day that Mansoor Ijaz is supposed to privately testify in front of the 9/11 commission. Had he been able to testify publicly, it would've been overshadowed by Rumsfeld's appearance anyway. I wonder if we'll hear ANYTHING re Ijaz's testimony :-(

But not for the U.S. soldiers there!!! They could be killed right there in prison. We should quit playing Mr. Nice guy!! Whatever means are needed to win a war is what should be used. Our nation is becoming too feminized to even fight a war, thanks to liberals.

Let the RATS keep demanding more apologies, including an apology for 911 -- plays exactly into our hands -- they blame America and its President, not the terrorists, for 911.

Oh I hope they are dumb enough to go there!

I have to share this from last night, regarding Bush meeting with Rumsfeld about the pictures:

To: yonif
THE MEETING (Transcript):

(Door closes)

Bush: What a bunch of Clymers.

Rumsfeld: Big time.

Bush: So, got any big plans this weekend?

Rumsfeld: Nah.

Bush: Me neither. Well, see ya, pal.
