I'm touched. An American who promoted Communist revolution in a South American country should be freed cause she's an American?? What's funny is her father invoking patriotism as a Get Out Of Jail Card. The Left to which Lori Berenson belongs hates America and wants it to be replaced by a more enlightened country. Like the one you know, Berenson and her Marxist Shining Path associates attempted to impose by force upon Peru. That's exactly why she should be kept locked up for the rest of her natural life as a lesson that terrorism doesn't pay even if you're involved in it as an American citizen.

Her parents should show the courage of her convictions and theirs by going to Peru to help Tupac Amaru, get captured (or shot) and, if they survive arrest, be convicted. Lori, who cannot now be executed for her criminal conviction, can watch. If she tries to get in the way, she should be Rachel Korriefied.

Ted lost his last appeal, that's what - ain't nothing to be done any more except wait for his ten years (plus whatever additional time he got for his jailbreak) to be up. I think that most of the people who inhabited the "Free Ted" threads, without naming names, are largely still here, but have moved on to other topics. Ted's family members have basically stopped posting here, though, which probably had something to do with the die-down as well. When the tedmaher.com domain lapsed, that was probably a harbinger of things to come ;)

You've got to be kidding. She's about as bright as Rachel Corrie. They should give her another 20 years for stupidity. Anybody with a half a brain doesn't go abroad and think they have the right to do what this peabrain did.
