hey another thing is that while they have to cover arms and legs and so on outdoors, this means that they really try hard for parties. private house parties are very popular (though illegal) and alchohol, while expensive (oh and llegal), is available. lots of tuborg beer, i think they can some of it in turkey and its smuggled over in trucks.

the young people prefer pot and hash, though, because its much cheaper and easier to hide than beer from the green police (green police = islamic law, blue police are much nicer normal cops and not feared like the green 'committee') who might stop a carload of 'undesirable' looking young people and search. i have it on good authority that even ecstasy and western drugs are available if you look hard enough.

and they party hard. the gorgeous girls come in coat and scarves and leave the at the door to reveal miniskirts and tiny tops. they dance A LOT to bad (illegal sattelite) italian dance music channel and cd's, often burned from downloaded mp3's (the dial-up there is a little slow but ok) or smuggled dics.

its funny that some of them (a minority) are even serious about being a muslim (most seem to despise the mullahs, even the muslims), but are happy to have a beer and be uncovered. most people i met who did wear full chador didnt seem to understand why ohers should be forced to do so. they are happy with some women covered, some not its personal preference behind closed doors.

and the other secret of persian girls is many of them get nosejobs when they are around 16-17. their eyes, cheeks, face and body are spectacular but many feel they have big noses and from the work ive seen the iranian rhinoplasters know how to do their stuff.
