I guess Baqh-far should have thought twice before dismissing the waiter pouring water.

LOL! But my (limited) experience of Persian cuisine is not "spiciest" in the sense of "hot." Not at all like Indian, or Thai. What I've encountered is much more subtle.

The Chinese pride themselves on excelling in the culinary arts (and on the basis of that prise, as they've explained it to me, they must suffer when they come to the U.S.). I suspect the Persians might also. I'd tip my hat to the latter.
