sceptical Was this really written by a "journalist" and reviewed by an "editor?" No wonder journo schools are the laughing stock....

"Rumsfeld is the best ever."
Can't argue against that. Been here since Simpson, and I have to agree with the man.

Well, I see that it is an alternative spelling. Of course, no one with a brain would use it. I guess any language construct is as good as another in this relativistic world we live in!

Good for Cheney but where are the other Republicans?
To: Bringbackthedraft
It's good for the Republicans to stick together and make these types of supportive statements. The dems do it all the time and their icons seem less than stellar.

Well, I see that it is an alternative spelling. Right. Just like nucular is an acceptable variant of nuclear.
This from the Merriam-Webster online:
"Though disapproved of by many, pronunciations ending in \-ky&-l&r\ have been found in widespread use among educated speakers including scientists, lawyers, professors, congressmen, U.S. cabinet members, and at least one U.S. president and one vice president. While most common in the U.S., these pronunciations have also been heard from British and Canadian speakers. "
In other words, if enough people are too lazy to perfect their diction, it becomes ok to mis-pronounce words now and again. Relativistic indeed.

including some digital video files, depicted "live-action abuse." Are these the videos from the adult website (porn site) that shut down because there videos and pictures were being represented as real soldiers abusing the prisoners in Iraq. They were paid porn actors dressed as soldiers.
There was a thread on FR about it. Jim Angle briefly mentioned it on Fox the other night. Some Iraqi official said some of the pictures weren't taken at the prison the abuse supposedly took place.

Here! (hand up). We also need to judge the actions of the Senators and Congressmen and women. They need know what our judgments are, that playing politics on these committees will not be tolerated. I smell a rat in this Abu Gharib prison pileup.

It's the English spelling of the word.

It does seem that the Dims hate strongly spoken conservatives. If you are willing to stand up, garner public support for justice and the American way, you are a target of the hate-America-first crowd.

No one in particular. Dick Cheney was Secretary of Defense himself. Did he really mean to say that Rummy's a better SoD than he was?
I just think it wasn't necessary to phrase it that way. It can be used as an easy soundbite by the Dems if things go wrong.

If you are good at what you do, the praise you give someone else for being better at it not only makes him look good, but you too.
