This would certainly explain why Qadhafi was so eager to give up his WMD. Saddam left him holding the bag.

Ritter didn't have to be paid.
Hussein and crew simply let him know that the videos of his dalliance with the children in Baghdad would be difficult to keep under wraps if he didn't stop his accusations against the dictator.
It turned him around - a nice 180 - and quick.
Mission accomplished.
This is the reason that homosexuals and pedophiles are so powerfully screened agains for any sensitive intel position.

I hear ya and will remain forewarned.
Still, this whole Libya/Qaddafi (sp?) thingie has me quite bemused. I have this gut sense that there's some Iraqi fingerprints on this that tie back to the WMD issue...hoping for some very potent dots to be connected...

What a relief to find that others heard this news too. I was beginning to doubt my ears, or my sanity. This bombshell (no pun intended) of a story has completely disappeared. Fox doesn't seem to have it in their archives and they are not answering any queries about it.
Blix is surely something more sinister than a mere bumbler. He was handpicked by Saddam and the French, he lives a rather secret life and he publicly proclaims his hatred of the Bush Administration at every opportunity. I believe he went to Cambridge, albeit a generation after the British traitors. Why was his appointment never challenged? It would be nice to think that he was being given enough rope etc. but I doubt it. Maybe Fox aired the news too soon?
