"...Warner also said he expects the Pentagon to surrender today or tomorrow a full copy of the military's scathing internal report, based on an inquiry conducted by Army Maj. Gen. Antonio M. Taguba. The report, completed in February, was classified "Secret/No Foreign Dissemination" and approved by Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, on May 1; that was a few days before its contents became public."

Whatever happened to responsibility and loyalty to ones employer and country?

A secret document is just that - secret, no if's, and's or but's about it and no looking up the word "is" either. That means that NO-ONE, NADA, ZILCH, ZERO, but no-one sees that document unless he/she has the clearance and the need to know.

The person who leaks or gives the document to the unauthorized people, in this case, the press and Hitlery are committing treason against the government. Plain and simple. Think about it this way, if they will do this now, giving secret documents to the press, how likely is it that they have already leaked or sold information to the enemy? My friend, it is very, very likely.

If there were a need for the public to know about this, it would have been announced in a public areaa such as a news conference by AUTHORIZED individuals - it wasn't.

It is being used as a ploy to harm the integretity of this country and our leaders. It is appalling that we allow this person who leaked (sold) the information to the press to continue on in anonimity. They should be called to task in the public arena and condemned and shot at dawn!

The press is not working for this country, it is working for the enemy...

I agree. The media is deplorable but so are the idiot dems calling for Rumsfeld's head. If Rumsfeld resigns, I am afraid that I will have to conclude that we cannot win this war. We are too bloody fickle and squeamish. Makes me sick.

SS motto: "My honor is loyalty". Loyalty is a Nazi virtue; responsible people follow their consciences.

These are the same senators and journalists who closeted, voted, and worked relentlessly to keep their own known serial felony criminals in our White House and elect one to the senate.

We need reporters/journalists. What we have are editorialists claiming to be reporters/journalists. An editorial is an interpretation of a story swayed heavily by the opinion of the writer. Reporting/journalism gives: what, when, where and leaves interpretation to the reader, listener, viewer.

Why was the Taguba Report classified Secret/Noforn? The pretext that it was to protect the worldwide reputation of the United States and its Army is difficult to swallow without some further justification. The decision to classify the document should be a legitimate area of inquiry.

From what I've read of the Taguba Report's contents there is nothing warranting Secret/Noforn classification except that the contents are embarrassing to the Army as an institution. Why should the actions of some prison guards be hidden from the public? Can you imagine the outrage if the Army tried to suppress reporting of the incident when Patton slapped the soldier with combat fatigue by classifying the matter Secret/Noforn?

Janet Reno did not resign when she murdered 87 men, women and children, but Rumsfield should resign because a few airheads made photos of their foolishness, in which no prisoner lost a single drop of blood.

Makes sense to me. </sarcasm>

It's not just the press that are that way, if people - the public,, didn't want to see the pictures, they wouldn't be printed.

I mean, everyday on tv, daytime, nighttime, early morning, whenever, you can see any type of bodily function being mentioned on the air and associted products being sold. You watch shows like Jerry Springer, and listen to the shock jock that just got fired and you see the perverted type of people that we've become. That is why they call us the great Satan.

We don't teach respect, honor, loyalty, pride, etc., the old fashioned virtures any longer. We are going straight to the devil if we don't straighten ourselves and our children out.

I don't think Rumsfield will resign, but if he does, it won't be over this. It will be his age or health or a change of administration.

All though I will not fight there right to Free Speech, I do deplore the fact that they shield wrong doers from censure by not revealing their source.

I want to know who the person is that did this, not the information that I don't need and don't want to know. I'm not hiding my head in the sand either, it's just that I realize there are things that it is better not to have the average person privy to.

I have news for the News Media.

Every time the photos are shown or discussed, I turn to another channel. I'm hoping their ratings ALL go down -- including Fox, my favorite.

However, I do see a new rally back towards the troops. People are starting to point out that the Iraqis are not choir boys -- they are murderers and terrorists trying to kill our troops.

They are talking about the atrocities of the Iraqis to our troops (IEDs, suicide bombers, etc.)

AND they are starting to say that we have had NO apoligies from the Arab world for atrocities, kidnappings, and deaths of our soldiers.

Screw the media and especially GHOUL TV: CBS

I don't care what the motto of the SS was, I do care about the virtues, if you will, that every person should have imbued in them.

Loyalty, integrity, honor, truthfulness, etc., are all things that we once aspired to have, now we don't. We have become very pleasure oriented, very me, me, me, I, I, I. A society that becomes like that soon falls - check the Empires/country's that have fallen - Rome, Greece, China, some of the greatest empires/governments there were. Look at where they were when they fell. We are at the same point.
