"Beyond a certain age, children and mothers are just not meant to be isolated together. It's unnatural."

Just shoes how ignorant the enlightened can be. If anything is "unnatural" and a-typical of human society, it is the modern public school. Throughout most of history, children were primarily taught by their parents and spent most of their lives in the company of their extended family. This constant intermingling with strangers, rounding children up into collectivities, is a modern, urban phenomenon.

Sometimes I wonder why people have children if they don't want to be around them. I remember being on an email list where a woman was upset because the school board had dared to have a teacher's inservice day right after a three day weekend. She had no idea what she was supposed to do with her kids all day. Now even us homeschoolers need a break, but those that say they can't fathom the idea of being around their kids really annoy me.

I suspect the writer is attempting parody, similar to what Ben Franklin did when he wrote under a pseudonym of a woman(the name escapes me right now). He or she needs a little more polishing so that the ironic "zing" can be apparent to all...I wonder if a budding 15 year old writer wrote this~!
