"I'd rather rally support for President Bush based on what the president will do in the future, and based on the scary things that Kerry has advocated during his life as a politician. "

I TOTALLY agree with you.

"Whatever happened in the 1960's (good and bad) should probably be burried, IMHO."

In theory, I agree. Perhaps as soon as Kerry stopps digging up what should be buried, it will become a non-issue.

As we have seen, however, Kerry really has nothing else to run on EXCEPT for this. Notice every time someone questions him on anything, particularly on his own words about that time, he immediately jumps into HOOOOOOOOOOOW DAAAAAAAAAAAARE YOOOOOU QUESSSSSSSSSTIONNNNNNNNN MY PATTTTTTTTTRIOTISM! I'M NOOOOOOOOOOT GOING TO STTTTTTTTTAND FOOOOOR IT!"

So to answer your question, I think that the issue will be buried either when Kerry stops trying to run on it, or when he loses in November. Personally, I'm betting on the latter scenario.

Last week we had a thread that indicated that Kerry shot a rock that ricocheted and he got a 1 cm spinter in his finger that was treated with a band aid. This accd. to the doctor that treated him in the sick bay the next day. This week we learn that his silver stars may be black instead. Other indications are that he planned the entire, less than 4 mos in Nam "Military career", as the beginning of his political career. Any doubts at this point?
