BBC says the "video apparently showing the beheading of an American in Iraq.

Words fail me.

I'm pretty sure if he was "quickly" beheaded the guy he would not be screaming while they hacked away at his neck three times before he quit. Traitors, all I can say, they're traitors.

On the Inhabitants of the Middle East

200 years from now, I want their children's children's children's children to cower and cringe in fear whenever they hear the sounds of jet engines overhead because their legends tell of fire from the sky.

I want them to hide in dark caves and holes in the earth, shivering with terror whenever they hear the roar of diesel engines because the tales of their ancestors talk about metal monsters crawling over the earth, spitting death and destruction.

I want their mothers to be able to admonish them with "If you don't behave, the Pale Destroyers will come for you", and that will be enough to reduce them to quivering obeisance.

I want the annihilation to be so complete that their mythology will tell them of the day of judgment when the stern gods from across the sea .. the powerful 'Mericans .. destroyed their forefathers' wickedness.

The media didn't want us to see this because they do not want our resolve steeled in the war on terror and in Iraq in particular.

They want us to lose and they want Bush gone. The only exceptions are most of Fox, the WSJ op-ed page and talk radio and the odd pundit here and there.

It's the same reason they yanked the horrific 9-11 pics.

They want diplomatic solution and they want the left to manage it.

It sounds flippant, but I swear it isn't. Watching the video I had a weird flash to the movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." Yes, terrible movie, but bear with me.

Remember the scene where the high priest rips the man's heart out of his chest and the camera shows the crowd across the gap = the thuggee cult? Seesawing back and forth on their hands and knees, eyes bulging, practically in a lather for blood?

THAT is what I thought of when I watched the video and heard the sounds of their frenzy as they sawed Nick's head off. Their dark jubilance, whipping themselves into that agitation in the name of death. Not God. Death.

I was listening to the cacophony of the damned.

And I never wish to hear it again.

Thank God for talk radio and the internet. In another era, Walter Cronkite and David Brinkley wouldn't have even mentioned the beheading death of an American if it didn't suit their agenda, and we would have only heard vague rumors of the existence of a film.
