The peaceable transformation of a region from one major civilization to another, now under way, has no precedent in human history

What about when the Muslims took over N. Africa and Turkey? They've done it before and are trying it again.

I would hate to see Chartres Cathedral turned into a mosque, but it could happen.

There was absolutely nothing "peaceable" about those transitions. The "Religion of Peace" conquered those areas--North Africa in the 7th century AD and Turkey over the course of 400 years from 1071 to 1453.

And the conquest of Europe won't be peaceable either. It can't be. The Islamics will eventually attempt to sieze power before they are actually in a position to do so. It's almost like they can't help themselves. Things will get very, very ugly in Europe---and here unless we wise up.

A mosque is the good outcome. It could be a latreen like the great churches of Serbia and palestine.
