Like all Americans, I'm horrified and deeply saddened by the senseless murder of Nicholas Berg.

The murder of Nicholas Berg wan't senseless, Senator. It was calculated evil.

"Like all Americans (although unlike all Americans I served in VIETNAM), I'm horrified and deeply saddened by the senseless murder of Nicholas Berg (although it does give me fond memories of when I killed people in VIETNAM). My thoughts and prayers are with his family and with the families of all our troops and civilians working under such dangerous conditions (although now nearly as dangerous as the ones I encountered in VIETNAM) to rebuild and bring peace to Iraq. We are grateful for the work you do and the risks you take (did I tell you the risks I took in VIETNAM?). The terrorists who committed this atrocity will not prevail, and America stands together against them." (unlike the America I tried to divide after I came back from VIETNAM - Is this mike on??)

I thought you had put in the "Paid for by John Kerry" part to be cynical, but it's really on the press release.

Probably required by CFR or some similar law.

To quote P.J. O'Rourke: "All lies are told with a straight face."

Bush didn't volunteer so I think Bush should focus on the war we're in and not the war from 35 years ago.

Bush volunteered to fly jets, I volunteered for the Combat Engineers, Kerry volunteered to single handedly stereotype his fellow vets as baby killing, drug addled whackjobs.

What did you volunteer for?

You should have seen the original press release from his office:

"Like all Americans, I'm horrified and deeply saddened by the senseless murder of Nicholas Berg. We are grateful for the work you do and the risks you take. The terrorists who committed this atrocity will not prevail, and America stands together against them."

And just when did you hear Bush talk about the war from 35 years ago?

It's your hero, Horse Face Kerry, that continually brings that up.
