It is time for us to change our approach to these barbarians.

I had written on another thread (several now, actually) in response to AuntB's post of: "It's time to cut to the chase here and fight this thing like a war. It's time for a Harry Truman moment. I was totally with her, up until she said we should then leave. The following is an option we must now consider:

If we are going to do it this way, we ought to make the determination to make this a COLONY of the US.
