A few seconds after Nick Berg is pushed over and the knife put to his neck the clock skips from 2:44:12 to 2:45:47 during the throat cutting. 1:35 of clumsy hacking and screaming were edited out. Islam requires a sharp knife and quick kill but this was not.

The sound runs 5 to 7 seconds ahead of the video. That is why the yelling starts before anyone moves. The reader audibly clears his throat at 2:42:32 but covers his mouth at 2:42:38.

You need the higher quality 5.3MB original video to read the clock. The over-compressed 1.9MB version on many websites is illegible. It can be easily found and downloaded from the newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.grotesque.

A link in a thread yesterday was from a tv station that had posted screencaps of the murder.

Someone else noticed that the screencap timestamps showed upwards of 11 hours difference.

I didn't go back to look at the pics to verify.

If true, the torture may have been even more horrible, if it took 11 hours and 'published video' was extensively edited.

I didn't look at the clock, but I do remember the unsynchronized sound and action. In fact, while watching, I thought it went rather too quickly given the knife being used and knowing how hard it is to cut through bone and tissue from dressing game. Also, the lack of visibly spurting blood, and the lack of blood dripping from the head suggests that they cut off the head, cleaned up a bit of the mess and then showed the subhuman holding up the head. Yech.
