Howie suspects all the higher ups at the Globe are too busy planning their weddings at Provincetown come Monday to take care of business. But this is sheer speculation on his part.

From what I'm hearing on Howie Carr, you would have had to be fortunate enough to get the first edition. A guy who works in the printshop at the Globe called and said the pictures were clear as a bell in the first edition, but doctored in later ones to be blurrier. SWEET! Go get 'em, Captain (I'm a huge Howie Carr fan, but alas, I'm cubicle-bound when he's on the air). I'm one of the few boobs who pays to read Howie's articles on-line.
I must've been one of the lucky ones with the first edition, then, because in my paper, even the myopic could clearly see the line of soldiers getting Lewinski-ed and nothing was left to the imagination, including full female frontal and male nudity in that pic, and a very graphic---if you'll pardon the expression---"spreader"/Hustler-esque in the "sandwich" pic. I was SHOCKED the Globe ran these photos, and I can't wait for the "Corrections" on A2 tomorrow.

Someone else e-mailed Howie with his story: he got a call asking if he wanted to subscribe to the Globe. He didn't, but he asked the girl if she read the Globe. She said she had cancelled her subscription years ago!

Might be worth it to try to get a Reel-Talk radio recorder. The company that made them went out of business a while back. (I found this out trying to track down a new one, when my 10-year-old one finally bit the dust.) But sometimes you can find one on E-Bay. I was lucky enough to.
They take a regular audio tape, but they record and play at one-quarter speed, so a 60-minute per side tape is good for four hours (actually closer to four and a half).

Aparently the photos were from a website entitled "Iraqbabes." According to Howie Carr, the site has been closed down.

I'm well aware of Turner, he's a flaming idiot - but he is so full of self-righteousness taht he can't even begin to see it.
Isn't he teh one who gave the Dixie Chis an official 'apology' plaque from the City of Boston, which they were forced to return because it was a worthless fake made up through his office

Has anyone sent this to O'Reilly or Hannity? Seems like a great topic for discussion - the decline and fall of the media.

The Globe and their friends want to repeat Vietnam so bad they even dredge up this old propaganda ploy.
Back in the late 60s I was reading a magazine about a tour of duty in Vietnam and they showed two or three guys having a go at a Vietname girl, with the title being something about our boys whooping it up in a local bordello.
About a month later, "Ramparts" or a similar left-wing rag showed the exact same picture, calling it a gang rape by our GIs in Vietnam.
These pathetic SOBs cannot even be original with their lies.

I just emailed Turner's office:
You are the most embarrasing politician in a flooded puddle of embarrasing Boston politicians.
To look at your picture makes me cringe.
What in God's name is wrong with you? How stupid can you be? How could you be duped by 3rd world smut? My god, you're a simpleton!
Who are the morons who vote for you?
Your idiocy is as boundless as the level of shame you have brought onto the political history of the great city you represent.
Wait.. I'm sorry, why am I even trying to explain how much of an embarrasing mush brain old imbicile you are.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. DO YOURSELF AND THE CITIZENS OF BOSTON A FAVOR AND RETIRE.
You can email him too:

Drudge Report picked up WND article. Also ran a screenshot of the print edition of the Globe (the photo images were not carried on the Internet, only the print edition)...
http://drudgereport.com/bostonglobe.jpg Also at the end of the WND article, there are links to all the other articles they wrote on the subject. After WND reported a week ago the photos were fake the US Embassy in Cairo confirmed that and demanded retractions from Arab newspapers.

I demand a Senate hearing! I assume you know that Senate hearings are full of sound and fury, signifying nothing; plus they cost taxpayers money. Back off on your demand.

Kambon, Turner and Muhammed and the 3 BG editors are enemy agents and terror-inciting traitors.
This should be a monumental scandal, the most brazen example yet of incitement and treason among the media and elected officials in this country, but the lamestream media are unlikely to even take note.
How much of this depravity and barbarism are we going to tolerate from the enemy within?
Someone here is fond of saying "civil war in 10 years" I say civil war in 10 days.

"The American people have a right and responsibility to see the pictures," Turner said. Someone apparently alerted Turner that he was under discussion on Howie Carr, and he called in. When Howie asked for an apology to the military, Turner said he wouldn't apologize for performing a "public service."
It was also mentioned (I forget by whom -- Kambon?) that Turner was a founding member of A.N.S.W.E.R.
When Howie asked whether he didn't see that the pictures were typical porn pix, Turner said he didn't see porn stars -- he saw "women of color" (apparently the porn industry discriminates on the basis of race -- I don't really keep up with it!).
Anyway, Turner went on, there was a desert in the picture -- all that sand, a hill, the cammies -- surely that proves the pictures are genuine.

Little Bill, would you consider pinging your MA ping list to this thread? (I didn't think to ask yesterday, when it would have been more timely.) It might provide a bit of comic relief to the current news.
Thanks!
