Basically, the Salon guy/gal made these points:
1. Your list is longer than the list currently posted at the source site.
>> The insinuation is that you made up the extra names, or got them from some other source.
>> A better (and obvious) question is why the original source has been scrubbed. If Salon is interested in an interesting story, this would be a good place to start.
2. Your false list may have been read by someone in Iraq. Since it was labeled "enemies", that person used it to identify people they should be on the watch for.
>> The insinuation is that a thread on FR is so high profile that Iraqi police in Iraq used it to identify people to watch for.
>> Wow! Salon must really think FR is hot stuff!
>> Either that, or the Salon person thinks Iraqi police are morons. Hmmm...
3. The local police in Iraq were able to tell Nick Berg was related to the Berg on the list.
>> Wow again! The Salon guy/gal must think the Iraqi police database is really hot stuff!
>> Or, maybe the Salon guy/gal thinks the Iraqi police think all Bergs are the same? Or, maybe ANY Berg will do?
The Salon "reporter" has no logic whatsoever to back up his/her insinuations. Is this why Salon is a financial wreck? Or is this simply the way all liberals "think"?
There is, of course, another completely plausible explanation for all of this. Someone at Salon wanted to see how much bandwidth they could waste at FR, and how much of MY time they could waste at the same time! And it worked! Grrr.....

TOTAL BS. Doug was clairvoyant and knew that posting Bergs name would come in handy one year later. I think Doug has been scammed.

Your post was not a waste of time. I for one thoroughly enjoyed the precision craftsmanship of the author.
