In the interview from outside his home in West Chester, Pennsylvania, a seething Michael Berg also said his 26-year-old son, a civilian contractor, probably would have felt positive, even about his executioners, until the last minute.
Two e-mails sent by Berg to his family and friends show he had travelled widely and unguarded in areas of Iraq. His father told AP that Nick's paternal aunt, now dead, had married an Iraqi man named Mudafer, who became close to Nick.
In one of the e-mails, Nick Berg described going to Mosul, where he introduced himself to Mudafer's brother, identified as Moffak Mustaffa. "We got along splendidly," Berg wrote.

It sure does sound like that's what he's said. How come Berg was friends with these guys --- but supposedly pro-war and pro-Bush like we first heard? That would make no sense at all.
Here you go.
It's a real long list so hard to find his name and company but it is there. Also after you skim through that thread go to posting #351 and there is a link there to a thread where FreeRepublic and Dougfromupland is being somewhat blamed for Nick Bergs death for having posted this list. But this list was taken from the A.N.S.W.E.R. site which they apparently have now removed Michael Bergs name from their list. Also DougFromUpland has posted a thread that he got an e-mail from Salon.com wanting to know why his list on FreeRepublic was different than the one on A.N.S.W.E.R.
