Michael Berg, said that although his son wanted to leave Iraq, he refused the flight offer because he thought the travel to the airport would be too dangerous

So tell me again how this is President Bush's fault? Because I am just not getting it.

Haven't you heard? That was Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Wolfowitz and Bremer in the hoods. Just ask Mad Michael Berg. He'll tell ya....

"What does this have to do with Bush?"

The liberals are playing "if only" - but they're selecting details that blame the US. "If only Berg had not been detained so long."

How about, "if only Berg wasn't running around with a backpack like Iraq was some kind of student holiday, with NO CONTRACTS, looking for comm tower work"?

As opposed to traveling over land, unescorted, to Kuwait?

"I am sure that he only saw the good in his captors
until the last second of his life," Berg said.

"They did not know what they were doing."

"They killed their best friend."

Why would he think a trip to the airport dangerous? He didn't see danger any place else.

That was yesterday. Today it's FR's fault.
