I feel for this family and poor Nick Berg, but to blame President Bush is a disgrace. Bush didn't take a knife and chop off Berg's head, it was our enemy an Muslim terriorist. I'm sick and tired of President Bush being made the scape-goat every time something tragic happens. Wake up Michael Berg, your son was killed by our enemy, the muslim terrorists, just like 3000 of your fellow US citizens were on 9/11/2001.
Actually it is quite a bit more complicated than that.
Nick Berg voluntarily went to Iraq because he could make more money there than at home. Why was the pay higher? Because it was dangerous.
Not all civilians in Iraq are killed or injured, but enough of them are so that the pay is very high. Nick rolled the dice and lost.
It is a shame and our nation should take retribution on his killers, but our leaders have no responsibility for what happened to him.
This is so weird.
The normal reaction by a father would be anger, hate and revenge against those that killed his son - the ones that sawed his head off. No normal person would ignore those people saying "I don't blame the terrorists that did this" or "they are probably as bad as he is".
The normal father would be wanting every effort - war included - to go after the men that did this - the ones with the knife.
Something is really fishy here. I am almost beginning to feel the son may have been there for subversive reasons and the "support Bush" was a cover-up of the real purposes.
His father acting like he is indicates a loyalty to the terrorists and a rabid hate for this country and Bush.
Yet - why would they kill one of their own?
Michael Berg was a piece of shitte before his son died.
Now he's a piece of shitte with a dead son, murdered by terrorists.
