I'm afraid this might be right. I am continually astonished by how shallow and short-sighted the American public is, and how easily swayed by the latest sensation. If the powers that produced these poll results produce a similar set nearer to the election, we may see President Kerry. I think we will then also see (a) abortion-on-demand available in every hospital and from every licensed physician, (b) gay marriage--and gay adoption--in every state and (c) an expansion of "hate speech" legislation that will effectively outlaw orthodox Christianity. I think we are very, very close. Mr. Soros must be licking his chops.
