Well, I see another post of a poll saying the country is resolute. But still, if there is any truth to Zogby's results we really do have to conclude there is a flaw in american culture/ character. I've seen it before. The media can drive significant numbers to turn on a policy, and there does not seem to be a common sense safety switch in the american mind.

I always come back to the need for republicans to aggressively defend their policies. A serious mistake is made because republicans thibnk most people will see the justice of their cause.
