In Texas it is legal after dark to chase them down, shoot them in the back, run over them, whatever it takes, on your property or off. Wow, I didn't know they had such a law in TX. I'm amazed. In this case, if the perps didn't have any of the guys property and the owner wanted to get away with it, could he just throw some of his property out in the field and claim the perps stole it?

Acording to the law they don't have to steal anything or harm anything, they just have to make you fear that they are going to.
If you are on someones property at night you can be shot for suspicion of malicious mischief, even if you are running away and off the property.
