I don't think it was a profound statement, just the opinion I had when I started reading this thread.
I have enjoyed the discussions of the various things related to the low carb diets - but the article essentially is about a bunch of whining CEOs trying to protect their cushy jobs and even cushier salaries from a stockholder revolt about losing bottom lines. They are looking for a scape goat.
The bottom line is if they had been producing a decent product at a reasonable price they wouldn't need to be looking for a scapegoat - because they would not be seeing a problem in their bottom line.
