One chapter does not primary importance make, it's cursory. I really don't have anything against Atkins, or his diet. A decent amount of protein is necessary. I just see that as a doctor he should have been as dedicated to the aspect of physical fitness as he was diet. But he was trying to sell his products, he's no different than the bread seller in that regard.
That's just the diet book. However, he had a very popular radio show here in New York where he did talk about exercise a lot (esp. walking). You know what? A lot of people are LAZY and that's diets that tell people they don't have to exercise sell a lot. I think Atkins developed a reputation for a no-exercise diet thanks to some adherents but not necessaerily to Atkins.
Just go read the book will you? Then I will argue with you.
Perhaps not, but you most definitely have a problem with admitting when your reach has overcome your grasp. Is it that costly for you to admit making an assumption that was invalid?
It's a diet book, not an exercise book. But it seems obvious you're not going to concede the point with anything approaching polite correction.
