The participants in the naval exercises are the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Canada, and the Dutch. The G-8 members include the the first five plus Italy, Japan, Russian Federation, and European Commission. http://www.g8usa.gov/home.html Because they are beginning exercises off the coast of North Carolina on June 1 and the G-8 starts June 8 off the coast of Georgia, I hope that their presence dissuades the bad guys from trying anything evil.
It could be you are right. I wonder why China is getting agreessive at the same time...And Iran has suddenly become so bold.
Your plot is a good one, there is no question that we must be very alert for the G-8 meeting, and the worlds best navies just off shore, might help, but I'm not so sure of how.
