That's the point- make heterosex marriage worthless. Make it "just a piece of paper".

Marx said that to form the perfect communist/socialist state the "slavery of bourgoise marriage" had to be ended.

What's the point? To pick your pocket. Insurance benefits, tax breaks, social security benefits, retirement benefits, etc.

These marriages are for economic gain and to push a political agenda. They also are intended to poke a finger in the eye of the "straight" community.
