Not worthy of Boy Scouts??? What's wrong with the Boy Scouts? Does anyone other than me feel that we are not getting our money out of this 911 panel? They were supposed to come up with constructive suggestions on how future 911s could be prevented. However, they've indicated that they don't have any ideas. Instead, they spend their efforts cutting down the people who are just trying to do their job.

There's something very creepy about the family members cheering like a Jerry Springer audience whenever someone on the comission launches "an aggressive line of questioning..."

"The hearing began with a commission report recounting how city officials were forced to make life-and-death decisions based on incomplete communications, leading to some of the deaths in the twin 110-story buildings. "
Folks, it is call leadership. Waiting for more accurate information can kill you just as dead.

This is sickening. I didn't see any of these cowardly commission slugs, rushing into buildings to try to save people. Some things 9-11 slugs, Kerry, media, have just reached a point where they are stomach churning to even listen to.

The term I would use to describe this commission is the same term Clint Eastwood used in "Heartbreak Ridge."

Seems like everybody on this "commission" is a slimy, preening slug. Especially Keane and BenVeniste. As for GoreLick, well she's just a common hack, pining for her days under Uncle Janet's desk....

"The former director of the World Trade Center told the commission that he knew nothing of Osama bin Laden's terror network until the summer before the attacks, and was never privy to FBI intelligence that Islamic terrorists might hijack U.S. planes."
At this point the families should have stood up and demanded that the Clintoooooon suck up (Gore-Lick) be removed from the Kean Follies and forced to testify what she knew and when she knew it.
What were her responsibilities during the TWA800 disaster in NY? What were her responsibilities during the OK City disaster?

Families of Sept. 11 victims applauded the tough questioning and shook their heads sadly as the panel enumerated a litany of communication breakdowns between the fire and police departments. We're sorry that so many police and firefighters were unable to appear before the panel and undergo the tough questioning. They were killed trying to rescue your family members.
Does anybody know what percentage of the "families of the victims of 911" are participating in this kangaroo court?

This whole darn thing is getting Stalinesque. Or maybe I should compare it to Maoist where the local officials are castigated in front of the higherups and they contritely bow to the ground (before they are shot.)

The 911 commission was devised as an instrument to embarrass the Bush administration. In actuality all it's done is display for the entire country to witness the pettiness of the politicians who comprise the panel, and the smallmindedness and lack of grace of the Bush haters among the grieving families who lost loved ones on 911.
This tactic will not lose for Bush any votes he would not already have lost, and could possibly gain for him new votes from those outraged by the unfairness of the forum.
The enemy is to blame for 911, not a bunch of all too human bureaucrats.

"Alan Reiss said he first heard about bin Laden's al-Qaida network when ex-FBI agent John O'Neill was hired in the summer of 2001 as head of security at the trade center"Is he trying to say he never heard of the first World Trade Center bombing?
He didn't know about that, and that Arab terrorists were involved?
Is he a complete idiot, or does he think we are?
