Yeah, that's one of my pet peeves too. The expression should be "I couldn't care less", not "I could care less".
"Audio-visual" is similar: It should be "auditory-visual" - referring to human senses - or "audio-video" - in reference to the capabilities of devices designed to stimulate said senses.
And don't get me started on "irregardless" :-)

I am so glad I am not alone on this. "I couldn't care less" takes slightly longer to say "than I could care less" hence the usage. Just plain laziness and inattention to the english language. SIGH!!!!
