My statement about John Paul II 'teaching' that Capital punishment and abortion are not equally sinful didn't mean that it was HIS personal teaching, but the teaching of the Church. Reading the Catechism will show this very clearly.
They have been blended here in the US, I think, because of liberal Bishops and Cardinals who wanted to blur the lines between the two in order the save the bacon of Dem. politicians who were FOR abortion. That's why Cardinal Bernadin came up with the whole 'Seamless Garment' idea; he wanted to make the Dems look good because they were for all the Social Justice stuff that the Republicans didn't support, yet glossed over the Dems. pro-abortion stands.
Where in the Constitution does the phrase ``separation of church and state'' appear?
That only applies to militias.
Where've you been? They've been telling us for years, now. :P
The Church should sue the Demonrats. What gives them the right as a collective political power to impose any demands on my Church. What they have done, to manipulate my Church and faith, is unconstitutional.
I hope these people do file a lawsuit. It will finally wake up those in the church who continue to turn the other cheek.
Since in the Court's mind the law is anything they say it is, anything can happen and probably will.
My insiders tell me that the 'real catholics' will be forced underground.
Yup!
What happened to the much lauded liberal stand on "separation of Church and State?"
Precisely my point Kid, concerning the continued trashing of the 1st Amendment.
All the while the political right just stands around with a finger stuck up an orifice watching these maniacs do their thang.
Go figure.
And the insane thing about the whole thing is?
The Leftist maggots will find them a Liberal-Socialist "judge" who'll permit this to be heard if they infact do decide to proceed with it.
...just nuts.
My goodness sir--what orifice might that be?
