"Again, the whole point of the thread has to do with why the American Revolution is justified and correct, and why any secession movement would not be. Gee, just a minor detail that you never even addressed yourself to that. Answer please, or kiss off."
I'll 'splain to both of you.....the point of this thread was secession. Read the title. You two choose to bring up the American Revolution as somehow relevant, my answer was that I will not second-guess George Washington on it's justification. You don't rate in comparison, nor does your movement. If you hold our Founding Fathers in the regard you say you do, then this should be enough (not that I'm holding my breath)
Ok, now that the AR issue is put to bed, what about the other points you've been avoiding by claiming that somehow my AR answer wasn't good enough?
Embarrassing myself? Tiffany, which side are you truly on, America's or The "Christian Exodus" politburo's? Or are you simply, as indicated, a bystander that is merely interested in the finer points of debating style?
That I can be both right, and a patriotic american, all while pissing you guys off just makes this more fun for me.
No, I think I'll stay around to see how many more expletives you will emote in my direction.
tame, you are truly the Black Knight of Monty Python's "Holy Grail". Your movement has no arms or legs, yet you still talk BS. Well, reality is moving on.
I'll still be here to receive your continued insults, and false indignation at not having answered a sidebar question on the AR to your satisfaction. You are now my entertainment.....a light workout to be sure, but amusing nonetheless.
Again, that brings up the whole question; Why??? What are the differences? Why is one justified, and not the other??? Just because Washington thought so? He couldn't have commented on the current suggestion. Please answer the questions.
"I can think of several lines of reasoning that directly answer tame's questions--a way that provides a strong rebuttal."
Why don't you express them, if you have them. Don't let me stop you. That's kinda the point of FR, isn't it?
This RF character is short on reason skills. A lot of circular reasoning, "Secession is not justified or the same as the revolution because it's not the same". Um, duh. That's not an answer, but I could give a better one than the children's responses up till now if I ever need to.
"So in other words...your still not going to answer?"
Ok, what do YOU think?
I'm not going to do your homework for you, Plato. I may give an answer for tame's sake later. But the point is you should disengage from the conversation since you have nothing to offer. Leave the intellectual debates to the qualified adults.
ya mean 49? 48?
"I could give a better one than the children's responses "
Ok, by all means, show me up with your nuggets of brilliance. I'll be the first to stand up and cheer!
(or will you find an excuse not to answer because you are really misrepresenting your allegiance.....hmmmm I wonder?)
Still waiting for that answer, Einstein. Waiting...and waiting...and...waiting...
"I'm not going to do your homework for you, Plato"
LOL....no I won't be disengaging. So where in South Carolina will you be moving?
You've already been "shown up" and put down, there, Aristotle. You're a bit too intellectually challenged to know it.
"Still waiting for that answer, Einstein. Waiting...and waiting...and...waiting..."
reference previous post(s). I see you are energized with a little help.......not to worry I shall not be deterred....I shall defend America single-handedly on this thread if I must!
So, what's the reasoning for your position (besides, "well, duh, George Washington supported Independence, therefore Independence today is wrong, duuuuh")?
"You've already been "shown up" and put down, there, Aristotle. You're a bit too intellectually challenged to know it."
Plato? Aristotle?
I prefer "Homer".... D'oh!
So you don't really have a better answer than mine, do you?
So what's the answer, Homer?
"So, what's the reasoning for your position (besides, "well, duh, George Washington supported Independence, therefore Independence today is wrong, duuuuh")?"
Tiffany......you aren't a secessionist, remember?
Is the fact that George Washington, not only supported, but actively and brilliantly fought for our independence not good enough for you?
I'll show you my reasoning if you show me yours!
USA! USA! USA! USA!
The problem, Homer, is that you haven't been defending anything yet. What is your answer--your reasoning to the questions?
So....they chose SC to suceede.....now there is some Irony.
Tame's been asking YOU for YOUR reasoning, Homer. He actually already knows my reasoning. So, the answer is???
