Neos don't need careful handling like some very expensive crystal with a lot of lead in it (I think it is lead, maybe iron, maybe something else, but it is something), that makes it brittle, even as it makes it "crystal" clear. We are perfectly capable of voting for Bush even while being trashed by other wings of the GOP, or by ersatz members of the GOP, who don't vote for Pubbies, but claim they are in favor of "conservatism." Neos are used to argument and the pushing and shoving of the public square, and at the risk of speaking for them, we love it.

In short, focus on the "special handling" of some other wing of the Bush coalition, and cater to their sensibilities. We don't need it, or want it.

I didn't mean to leave the impression that neocons, or anyone else, needs "special handling". Sorry if that's how it came across.

I only meant that, given that we are ALL conservative to one degree or another, and that the only party with close ties to the whole of the Right is the Republicans, shouldn't we quit biting at each other for just a little while, at least until after the Left is defeated?

After the victory party and hangover, we'll have plenty of time to have a go at each other again. And at least then we could do it without the threat of terrorism, and with lower taxes besides.
