"I want the school to know what's going on with the kids and put a stop to it."
I would start by maybe..........disciplining your daughter!!! The mom is so outraged, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out the little girl sits in front of MTV all afternoon without objection of her mother!
Oprah covered this with girls who were "into it". They were positively glowing about all the action.
Not a long slope to 9-11. Evil is subtle until it takes control. Anyone doubt that the reason the hijackers spent time in topless bars was that evil not a radical imman was at the core of their actions.
No mention of what her father thinks of all of this.
Pretty much an urban legend.
(Don't worry, this is the last one LOL, but I have to wonder how hard it would be to strip, if when a guy takes off the top of a pop bottle without breaking the seal 'has' to be rewarded with a sex favor?). This was what I was touching on on the other thread. With atrophied morals come imprudent decisions. And compared to some of the things they are doing in high school, stripping in college seems like a walk in the park. A steal.
I've seen girls wearing their bracelets like this but had no idea what it stood for. This is outrageous, elementary age children shouldn't even know about a lot of these things yet.
Parents would certainly not instinctually know what these bracelets mean. They look like pony tail holders. There wouldn't be any reason to assume those tacky little bracelets and things were anything but a odd pre-teen fashion trend... Kids do stuff like this, and the whole point is that their parents won't get it.
Now that the parents ~do~ get it, they'll switch to something else all the parents won't get, especially the parents that think their kid would ~never~.
Hey, but we'd better not let them see the Berg beheading.
Thanks, I kinda thought it was blown out of proportion.
Kids are always talking trash. The real truth is worse than the nonsense like this.
True. Makes me think about sending my (now nonexistent) daughter to a Yeshiva. And I'm not even Jewish...
I suspect that they figured that since they were going to go to heaven as a reward for their suicide, they might as well have fun in the meantime.
Stuff like this isn't proven or debunked. It isn't a single source that can be proven wrong, its a fad that could start today if two kids do it.
Even better was the fact that every high school claimed to be the one that got banned from Grad Night at Disney for throwing Mickey Mouse in the lake back in 1982.
Snopes is a Leftist site, run by Leftist activists, and aggressively promote a Leftist agenda.
They have extensively de-bunked any mention of the Clinton Body Count, and have linked to a Bush Body Count in its place.
When Iraqi Freedom kicked off, the blonde Socialiette who helps run Snopes stated on the site, that "they will not support the troops or the war so as to maintain their objectivity". Not a direct quote, so know-it-all paleo-FReepers can calm down.
I will not give them the Web hit they so desperately need, and neither should you.
