WASHINGTON, May 26 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Republican National Committee (RNC) Communications Director Jim Dyke issued the following statement today in response to a speech by former Vice President Al Gore attacking President Bush:

"Al Gore served as Vice President of this country for eight years. During that time, Osama Bin Laden declared war on the United States five times and terrorists killed US citizens on at least four different occasions including the first bombing of the World Trade Center, the attacks on Khobar Towers, our embassies in East Africa, and the USS Cole."

"Al Gore's attacks on the President today demonstrate that he either does not understand the threat of global terror, or he has amnesia."

If Al Gore were President on 9/11, men would be wearing turbans and women would be wearing burkhas and yes he would still be negotiating with Sheihk Omar and still losing.

"Al Gore's attacks on the President today demonstrate that he either does not understand the threat of global terror, or he has amnesia."

This is classic. Get Jim Dyke a promotion. Little flashes like this makes me think that the GOP has yet to even get close to bringing out the "big guns". No one is seeing the "grey suits" yet; you know, the guys who regularly drink the 32-year old, single-malt Scotch. (James Baker...you feel me, dog?)

Trust me, they are around. They have "the stuff" on Kerry and all the kooks in the demoSCUM party...when the time is right, the "big guns" will be out and the demoSCUMs will be toast.

Throw in a UBL/OBL (still confused about that?) capture and some substantive WMD discovery (you know, one that the media can't just sweep under the rug as "well, it was just a little sarin") and the MOFOs are toast. Kerry will be lucky to win 3 states.

Maybe I shouldn't say this, but what the heck.

Who was more hawkish in the 2000 campaign? Gore or GW "humble foreign policy, no nation building" Bush? The answer is Gore.

Gore used to be from the Democratic Leadership Council school -- hawkish on foreign policy, liberal as sin on the rest. After September 11, he just couldn't accept that Bush, a man he personally hated, was following basically the same policy he would have. Instead Gore imagined himself as a kinder, gentler fellow, thus moving to the left on foreign policy as he long ago had on the environment and social issues.

The late Alistair Cooke said that Bill Clinton had been planning to overthrow Saddam in his second term but couldn't do it because the Lewinsky affair destroyed his political capital. Sounds reasonable. Gore was OK with this.

Remember that Bush and Clinton share the same CIA chief who told both men the same.

No man, we want him to keep running his mouth.

Please, keep it up Al, just keep talking and proving yourself to be a bombastic idiot.

Gore, the fallen son, got an assignment, a script, had to lend his name, had to perform.
Al did as told and hopes to get accepted again by the democratic elites after he so voluminously and adoringly sucked up to Howard Dean. Al, realize it, you only are called upon for special assignments that fit your style. Any other performer would lose his reputation when shuffling such dirt.

I like your scenario very much (please be right)!
Is Kerry letting Al Gore do his dirty work for him now? - if so, what a choice......

I originally wished the response would have been longer.

Now that I watched some of Bore's speech, I wish the RNC response would have been much shorter-- approaching nothing.

Gore doesn't deserve acknowledgement.

Maybe just an RNC response of:

"Yawn"

After showing extensive clips of albore's rant today Wolfe Blitzed actually read the entire statement from the RNC.

Gore lost his soul because of Clintonism.

All the RNC has to do is package up Gore's 'I got a scream' speech along with Dean's and find one of Kerry's and to play excerpts serially, and have the faces morph from Dean to Gore to Kerry. Tar the whole democratic party as radicals, out-of-control and without the necessary sanity to lead the nation. The hard part will be to find excerpts from Kerry's speeches with that sort of anger but I'm sure Kerry will give us that opportunity if he hasn't already.

Anyone think the independents, moderates and soccer mom's will listen to these rants. No one except the extreme left will tolerate it. I can't even imagine Kerry's camp liking what Gore has done since they need to move to the center since it's the only chance they have.
