I was there at the site of this picture. The Marine stood in the middle of the road saluting the riders as they rode past. When the last motorcycles passed, the Marine was mobbed by former Marines. After hugging him, they spontaneously sang the Marine Corps song. It was an emotional event for everyone who witnessed it.

On behalf of the great state of Wisconsin, thanks for coming out to see some of the best this country has saluting the very best this country has.

It must have been a moving moment. I wish I could have seen it. Just think of what it ment to that young Marine ??
