Why don't you try focusing on the issues at hand and stop nursing the pain you suffered in high school when you weren't part of the in crowd?

I always thought the in-crowd were sheep that all tried to look and sound alike. They were the true geeks. Ten years after high school I heard one of the most popular kids in school, the in-crowd king, committed suicide.

I figured once he got into real life, he found he didn't have a group of nodding heads around him, and it must of punched big ol holes in his sails. So much for your in-crowd.

One issue at a time...........so no country with U.S. military forces in it is a sovereign country, in your opinion?

I guess you are planning on not living more than two years.

Clinton vetoed the bill Dec. 6, 1995 as part of a budget bill. ANWAR drilling was revised and tried again in 1996. There was another attempt made in 1998.

There is an estimated 17 BILLION Barrels of oil and trillions of cubic feet of recoverable gas and these resources may rival the initial reserves at Prudhoe Bay. There is still only one pipe to send the oil through. It is generally expected that it would take 2-4 years to bring the field in, and it is unknown what else may be discovered nearby.

The argument for NOT drilling in the Arctic wastelands is just another WACKADOO issue that the libs think they own. But that has changed. There isn't any of the WACKADOO's issues that garner a majority of support anymore. Sanity has set in with the population at large.

It might be replayed on C-Span...............like at 3:37 in the morning........ ;o)

Seriously, go to the White House website and watch the video when they get it up later.......it's really something!

Strong, strong performance (not quite the right word) by the President.

I may just set the VCR from midnight until 6:00 a.m. and hope they replay it on C-Span.

Sounds like a fabulous press conference and the "old" president we all know and love.

U.S. President George W. Bush speaks in the Rose Garden at the White House in Washington, D.C., June 1, 2004. Bush said on Tuesday the new Iraqi interim government represented a broad cross section of society and had the talent to guide the nation toward national elections. Bush spoke after Iraqi leaders cut a face-saving deal with the United States and United Nations on a president and government to lead the country when the U.S.-led coalition hands over authority on June 30. Washington's preferred choice of president, elder statesman Adnan Pachachi, took himself out of the running, clearing the way for tribal chief Ghazi Yawar. Yawar was then sworn in with an interim cabinet of technocrats and the Iraqi Governing Council was dissolved. REUTERS/Mannie Garcia

If they want to murder each other and have endless conflicts between their fanatical religious factions, it's none of my business.

Second question......

What about the fact that some of them (i.e. terrorists and Baathists), and some outsiders who met with them and trained with them, and continue to plot with them, want to murder US??

That's none of your business either??

There is an estimated 17 BILLION Barrels

That is the most optimistic estimate. 6 billion is the reasonable estimate. But neither is the answer. Prudhoe Bay was estimated at 20 billion. They have pumped 14 billion over 27 years. Prudhoe Bay provides only 20% of our national need. At my age I might have two years to go, but it's sad to see so many pinning their hopes on the wrong solution.

What is it with some malcontents and their misguided and misplaced idea of "cliques"?

Good question! I was accused of being in a clique a few days ago by the one person who disagreed with everybody else on the thread. This person insisted that he/she alone was right and everyone else was wrong, therefore we must be a clique. Not sure how that works...

What about the fact that some of them (i.e. terrorists and Baathists), and some outsiders who met with them and trained with them, and continue to plot with them, want to murder US??

Look, lots of people love to hate America, there are bad guys all over the globe that want to kill American's, and have done so, and they plan to kill more.

Do you suggest we invade and occupy every country where this occurs? I don't think we have enough troops for that? My suggestion would be to once and for all make it difficult for anyone to enter this country, by implementing real immigration reform. All this talk about terrorism yet our borders have gone basically unsecured since 911 and no real immigration reform was ever implemented. To this day we have thousands of trucks with unknown loads entering from mexico, a country that can be bribed to do anything for a few bucks. To this day, thousands from the mid east continue to pour into our country on visas.

You can't kill all the islamos that want to kill us. Can't be done.

Seems to me we ought to be protecting our own homeland for a change. Isn't this what it's all about? Or am I missing something?
