Why are these traitorous scum even invited to events like this? Hopefully it opened the eyes of those who would otherwise vote for J F'n K because he's a "veteran."
I guess I'm just a little hyped-up from yesterday's Memorial Day service at Fort Snelling National Ceremony in Minneapolis. The despicable Mark Dayton was a speaker that got my heart beating so fast I wanted to sucker-punch the guy and I'm a 5'2", petite middle-aged mom.
He went on to spew about the importance of dissent (which I agree with when it's not all liberal lies!) and basically said he supports the troops and let's bring them home as soon as possible.
What a POS! BTW, he garnered little applause.
It must have been some Dem talking points sent out before the Memorial Day speeches. The guy at ours, I don't even know who it was, started ok, then went into Sunshine Patriots who lead our men to war for no reason, when they weren't even willing to fight in Vietnam, and how they ran Max Cleland out of office, a true patriot (this is in GA)blah blah blah
It was like someone punched me in the stomach. I was literally pacing a path in the grass. My husband, when he got back from walking the boys around, and hadn't heard the speech, had to keep telling me Shhh.
He was right, so I stopped, beause it was neither the time nor the place, and I readjusted my attitude, and looked at the WWII veterans in their seating area, and all the other Veterans standing around them, and thought about the men and women fighting and dying right now, and remembered why I, my 3 boys, and my husband were there.
But I will find his name out, and he will know how I feel about what he did.
I went with my three yound kids to a Memorial Service at Tahoma National Cemetery near Seattle. (I grew up in Mpls. so your post caught my eye.)
The speakers at the service were veterans. They all pointed out how the young men and women are showing the same bravery and courage as those in the "Greatest Generation". (Applause). And that they are fighting for no less of a noble reason than that of FREEDOM. (Applause).
No huge political overtones. But lots of praise and prayers for the troops and their Commander-in-Chief in amongst the gratiitude for the veterans. Each time these types of comments were well received by this patriotic crowd. (Including the twenty-something guy in front of me with his waist-length hair!)
