"Democratic senator and certain presidential nominee John F. Kerry, gave the middle finger to a Vietnam veteran at the Vietnam Memorial Wall on Memorial Day morning," NewsMax.com reported yesterday.

"Ted Sampley, a former Green Beret who served two full tours in Vietnam, spotted Kerry and his Secret Service detail at about 9 a.m. Monday morning at the Wall. Sampley walked up to Kerry, extended his hand and said, 'Senator, I am Ted Sampley, the head of Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, and I am here to escort you away from the Wall because you do not belong here.'

It's one thing to take a photo with a ship.

It is another to have the support of the troops.

I don't see any troops...

This certainly proves KERRY CANNOT HANDLE PRESSURE! He would be a DIASTER in the Oval Office!

I wish the Times would have researched this and backed it up with some witnesses, the lefties are all laughing at the "silly Newsmax fabrication" (Their words), someone track down some of the witnesses so we can plaster this everywhere.

The democrats to everything for the children, don't they?

Jocylyn Elders taught them to masturbate.
the NEA teaches them to put condoms on cucumbers.

bill clinton taught them all about oral sex.

Janet Reno taught them to never, ever talk back to the jack booted thugs, or you'll be burned out.

and now, JF'nK is teaching them at throwing the finger in public is the accepted way to handle their problems.

The liberals should change their "donkey" to an "Bull"...because that's all they shovel.

I'd be willing to bet at least one press photographer has photos of the confrontation, if not the finger. The pictures will not be published until such time as Kerry does something to piss off the photographer with the photos. Then we'll read about how he found the photos when looking at some extra frames stuck at the end of a roll of film that never got developed before or some similar tale. Needless to say, the photos will not be published until their impact on the 2004 election is moot.

The Kerry campaign had planned the visit so Kerry could call attention to one veteran's name. This veteran was wounded in '68 in Viet Nam, but he did not die until '76. Kerry applied the political pressure necessary to have the veteran's name added to the Wall. This was supposed to demonstrate Kerry's connection with Viet Nam veterans, but the confrontation with Mr. Sampley put the kibosh on the Kerry campaign's plans. Not even the partisan press would play along with that big a travesty.

Check this out.
Seems Sampley wasn't the only one. And, this so far is the only report of this incident I've seen, from the Globe no less.

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2004/06/01/kerry_marks_memorial_day_at_wall/

"In a sign of the sharp divisions in the veterans' community over Kerry, who helped lead antiwar protests and accused soldiers of atrocities after the war, a woman in a sweat shirt emblazoned with the American flag shouted at Kerry: "How much money are you getting to betray our POWs? Are you paying tribute to all the people you spat on, Senator Kerry?"

Kerry did not appear to respond to her, according to reporters who were at the wall to observe events on behalf of other reporters.

Patrick Healy can be reached at phealy@globe.com. "

(Is it true that several months ago Kerry pretended, or made the motions of, smoking a joint to a cameraman? If so, is there proof?)

Let's do a poll. How many Vietnam War Vets prefer Kerry over Bush?

*snort*

I think Bush ought to have a hidden t-shirt under his suit during his debates with Kerry and at the proper time (when Kerry is all worked up) do the Superman trick and open his suit to reveal a huge "W" and in small letters stands for WINNER - wouldn't that just send Kerry over the EDGE? I'm laughing just thinking about the possibilities!

Sean Hannity is going to try to get Ted Sampley back on his radio show for the lowdown....maybe today..

btw-Has anyone seen the Kerry pic Hannity mentioned with F'in's pic with a high-upper in the NVA which supposedly is displayed in the Hanoi commi-war museum?? Can anyone point me in the right direction or was this a hoax?

Here you go:

A Ho Chi Minh City museum that honors Vietnam war protesters features a photograph of Sen. John Kerry being greeted by the general secretary of the Communist Party, Comrade Do Muoi.
A snapshot of the display in the Vietnamese Communist War Remnants Museum – formerly known as the "War Crimes Museum" – was acquired over the weekend by Jeffrey M. Epstein of Vietnam Vets for the Truth, a group opposing Kerry's campaign for the presidency." etc
