Aha! You see it too! If this supposed mention of meringue occurred AFTER 9:30, then Scott's just called himself a liar if he said he heard it--b/c he also said he LEFT at 9:30!!
He was also pretty busy that morning fetching mop and bucket for Laci and loading up "market umbrellas".
All before 9:30am, AND he manages to make a mental note of what Martha's cooking.
I wonder if Laci was watching meringue mania while mopping...
