The main reason is, that i didn't think to read them until after she had already read 3 of them. At that point, I read them, and now trust the author enough not to care if she reads them first.
Good for you. Rowling's a decent writer whose craft (oh, my God, did I say that word?) is getting better with each book, and she tells a good story and draws lively, convincing characters.
