I have no idea who "Creed" might be, actually. Never heard a thing from them, at least that I know.
RUSH was a little silly, but I appreciate a bit of silliness in my entertainment. Better than getting it in my news!

This sounds weird, but I think some of it may be due to the high-pitched voice of Geddy Lee (especially in the earlier years). My wife can't stand the higher notes, and I read a study where most women like bass sounds more than the treble. Plus, not too many love songs! Although she did go to a concert with me when we were first dating ("I gotta marry me this gal!)
I was thinking of going to their concert in the Seattle area this summer (White River Amphitheatre). What do folks think about bringing my 9 year-old son? He's just starting guitar ($100 acoustic variety!) and thought he might have enjoy it. I have a feeling it wouldn't hold his attention though.

I figured they were playing Star Trek conventions by now. Sources tell me that Rush's shows so far haven't exactly been a ticket scalper's dream, if you know what I mean.

Just to give an idea of how pop-culture-clueless I am, I had no idea this band ever existed in the first place.
I only listen to AM radio & a local jazz FM station anymore!

Great news! Now if only Dave Matthews decided to hang 'em up I could die a happy man.

The lead singer is the former frontman for Stone Temple Pilots He does an excellent cover of Jailhouse Rock. He knows it very, very well.

I think some of it may be due to the high-pitched voice of Geddy Lee (especially in the earlier years). My wife can't stand the higher notes, and I read a study where most women like bass sounds more than the treble. Chicks loved Journey (in the late 70's and early 80's), and Steve Perry's voice was pretty darn high-pitched.

I like DMB...however my interest in them has faded big time in the last 3 years. I used to do road trips to see them. Now I only will see them MAYBE if they come to my area. Too bad they are playing the same nights in Florida that Rush are...:)
Rush wins.

I think RUSH is appropriate for young kids. There's no misogyny, foul language, or body parts hanging out. They're from an era when you didn't have to double-check everything for objectionable content.

Rush is cool, if you like falsetto yodelling to eighties-style, electro-techno, grooves. I figured they were playing Star Trek conventions by now.
